On approaching Levelone Creative to develop an online store, Forever Young Kids wanted to compliment their High Street presence. Forever Young Kids have been selling children’s designerwear for over 15 years and are highly respected locally as a reputable & trustworthy store. In addition to an online store Forever Young Kids required an instore Point Of Sale system. The POS would use a central stock control system to track online and instore orders. Some key features of the system were: Product Variables with applicable pricing (Colour, Brand & Size), Bar Code Scanning, Bulk Discount application for sales time or special offers, customer loyalty programs, multiple payment options at checkout, marketing integrations, customer accounts, customer wish lists, abandoned cart functionality (to retrieve floating carts), product filtering and a mobile friendly interface to operate effectively across tablet & mobiles.

Cloud Based Benefits

The hosting environment had to be scaleable and handle thousands of products and serve pages to hundreds of customers at a time. A cloud based system would ensure all services could be delivered and accessed through a web browser for instore POS transactions and online orders. Fast loading, secure all pages using SSL, website daily backups, staging & development environments and a Content Delivery Network were just some of the functional & non-functional build requirements.
