Cycle a GO GO a Movember twist

At Levelone Creative, we like to get involved in charitable causes from time to time, steering our attentions away from Adobe design packages and line after line of PHP code. Some of our followers will be familiar with Mo’vember, where for the month of November it is okay to look like a throwback to the 80’s with a furry top lip, or even further back to the early 70’s and don a Woodstock-esqe full on mouser…..all in the aid of charity.

After some debate in the office, staff came to the assumption that to raise a real bit of coinage for charity, Mo’vember could undergo a little Levelone customisation, therefore Kristian has decided to grow the full mowser and in addition has to cycle 1000 miles on his Specialized hard-tail bike.

The charitable fund that Levelone Creative has chosen is Ayrshire Cancer Support who provide emotional support and practical help for cancer patients, their families, carers and the bereaved.

There was a bit of swithering in the early days of Mo’ vember, but Kristian decided not to let this years event pass without getting involved. So the current update is…. Kristian has been growing facial hair since the 1st of November, but only started cycling on the 5th of November. In short this leaves Kristian with a daily mileage of 40 miles (minimum) to be cycled every day until 30th of November, in order to reach his mileage goal. The moustache has not been sculpted yet and is more in the mold of a Beard-Vember, but this small issue is being addressed at the Turkish Barbers at 10am on Wednesday 6th November (pics will follow).

Kristian is collecting sponsorship online and offline with a good old fashioned pen and paper.

Online giving is handled through Just Giving & you can donate here.

Over the next few weeks we will be posting pictures and tales of hi-jinx from the cycling trails and forest paths of deepest Ayrshire. Mileage will be tracked through the cycle App – Cyclemeter with tracking updates posted from time to time.

Oh yeah forgot to mention, we are still designing websites on top of 4 hour daily cycles, so if you need to utilise any of our premium services, please get in touch.
